What People Say After Working with Quietude
Notes from individuals and families in Malaysia who have attended orientation sessions or completed records organisation programmes.

"I attended the orientation session after my husband retired and we realised we had no idea what half his statements actually showed. The session was very clear — the presenter went through each field slowly and gave us time to ask questions. The workbook is something I still refer to when a new letter arrives."
"Useful programme. I had records from four employers going back to the nineties and had no idea where most of them were. The coordinator was patient — we spent the first two appointments just inventorying what existed and what was clearly missing. The gap summary at the end told me exactly where to write to request the missing years. That part was particularly practical."
"My mother had been putting off dealing with her pension paperwork for a few years. I came to the orientation session on her behalf first, and then we enrolled her in the organisation programme together. Having an indexed file at the end — in a format she can follow herself — made a significant difference to her confidence about the whole process."
"I will be honest — I was not sure whether I needed the session or whether I could just figure things out from the EPF website. I went anyway and learned things I would not have known to look for. The difference between voluntary and employer contributions, how to read the yearly statement chronologically — it all makes more sense now."
"The coordination engagement was worth it for us. My late father worked for several companies before and after Merdeka-era restructuring and we had documents in three different filing systems across two family homes. Krishnamurthy came twice to our place and then we did the remaining sessions at the office. The master register he produced is the clearest record we have of what actually happened over those decades."
"I appreciated that they were very clear about what the programme does not include. I came in expecting advice and was initially a bit disappointed — but actually what I needed was organisation first, not advice. Once the file was sorted I went to a financial planner with exactly the right documents and got the actual advice properly. Quietude was a good first step."
Situations We Have Helped With
Retiring After Three Employers Across Three Decades
A 61-year-old teacher who had worked in both the private and government sectors held contribution records from three separate employers. Statements were stored in different places, some on paper, some in email, and a seven-year period had no records at all.
Over six weeks and four appointments, we built a single indexed file with separate sections for each employer period. We identified the seven-year gap and noted the correct institution to write to for the missing records. All documents were scanned and saved in a named folder structure she controls.
She arrived at her meeting with a licensed financial planner with a complete indexed file and a written summary. The planner commented that it was the clearest set of pre-meeting documents he had received in a client consultation that year.
"I had been putting this off for two years. After the six weeks with Quietude I actually felt ready to talk to someone about what comes next." — Client, Kuala Lumpur
Managing a Parent's Records After Cognitive Decline
An adult daughter was managing her 74-year-old father's affairs after he was no longer able to handle the paperwork himself. Documents were scattered across two properties and she had no clear picture of what existed or what had already been submitted to various bodies.
The extended coordination engagement covered a full inventory across both properties, a dated correspondence log going back five years, and a master register covering employment from 1972 to 2007. We also prepared a neutral summary she could give to a solicitor and included the state practitioner directory.
The coordination work reduced a very stressful situation to a manageable one. The daughter had a clear picture of what existed and what still needed to be requested. The solicitor she subsequently engaged had everything they needed to proceed without further document searches.
"We came in not knowing where to start. We left with a plan and an actual file. That was more than I expected." — Client, Petaling Jaya
